CYBERJAYA — In an effort to keep up to date with industry best practices, Malwarebytes, in association with Primary Guard, held a webinar entitled State of Malware: Endpoint Threats 2020 and the Need for Cyber Resiliency.

The webinar focused on bringing the latest threats in cybersecurity to light as well as updating clients of both Primary Guard and Malwarebytes about the latest protection this partnership can offer.

The webinar, presented by Adrian Yoong, Senior Sales Engineer Manager for Malwarebytes APAC, focus on the annual report is released by Malwarebytes to inform its network of the latest updates in the world of cybersecurity, most notably malware threats. “Adware will always be present,” explained Adrian. “Surprisingly, a lot of businesses don’t concern themselves with adware and this is concerning.”

The webinar covered the major malware attacks of 2019 as well as the effects it has on business. As for industries affected, retail, education, and the service sectors are the most vulnerable to cyberattacks.

Because of the current global climate, more and more businesses are forced to work from the comfort of their homes. This results in employees, most especially executives, using insecure networks and relying on basic anti-virus software to keep their information safe.
